Insurance mergers & acquisitions have been in the spotlight for a number of years and the current market environment suggests that this is set to continue.

This introductory session will be provided by and give delegates the opportunity to hear from other young professionals working in these roles. The session will be a natural introduction to IRLA’s Academy training session on similar topics presented at a more advanced level.

By the end of the session, delegates will:

• have an overview of the insurance M&A environment

• gain an overview of the key stages in the M&A process

• have an understanding of why Part VII transfers are of value

• be aware of an alternative to legal finality transactions and retrospective reinsurance
